IOW, suburban, not inner city. One of the richer of the suburbs too. This collective denial that this stuff only happens in poor inner city neighborhoods has to stop. the number of dead got reduced overnight. Looks like 15 counting the shooters. So many hospitals involved they were losing track of people. One injured teacher taught technology, and his family couldn't find what hospital he was taken to last night, and he wasnt on any of the injury reports this morning, but he was conscious and talking last night when he was loaded on an ambulance. Word is one of the terrorists had an AOL webpage. It was 404 this morning though when I looked. [y2kculture ed. note: AOL yanked it late Tuesday.] Also, check the drudge report. Apparently threats were posted in an AOL or IRC chatroom called TCM (for trench coat mafia), in advance of the shootings. This message on dejanews <19990421030221.00329.00004825@ng-fp1.aol.com> suggests that AOL is systematically purging all references to the TCM on AOL pages, chatrooms, profiles, etc. Apparently the Trench Coat Mafia is a national clique or cult. I found several webpages in altavista from schools around the country.
